I discovered the dance company NGC25 during an institutional event on the theme of aging and its approach directly appealed to me. Among its various projects, NCG25 works regularly with seniors in nursing homes with the initiative "The present dance" which aims to create moments of sharing with residents around art and movement. 

The coronavirus pandemic and the sanitary measures put in place to respond to it during the first confinement have impacted the dance company, like all cultural and social structures, and have not allowed it to continue its usual activities. 

Despite this, dancer and choreographer Hervé Maigret, who founded NGC25 more than 20 years ago, decided that this health crisis should not cut off the links created with the residents. He therefore proposed to the management of the partner structures to continue the actions in a different form during the first phase of the confinement. 

The company therefore performed with the residents of the Alzheimer unit of a nursing home, respecting the rules of social (or rather physical) distancing

A dancer and a cellist performed for an hour for about thirty elderly people and caregivers behind their windows. A strong moment and all the more striking as the mother of the founder of the company is one of the people welcomed in this nursing home.
