In the course of the year 2020, I started a documentary work on peasant agriculture.
The goal of this project was to draw up a portrait of farmers, their job and the way they live it.
While 50% of the farmers in activity are about to retire in the next ten years, the profession has difficulty in attracting vocations and suffers from a degraded image. I wanted to meet some who have chosen to produce differently based on the principles of peasant agriculture (Working with nature / Autonomy / Transferability / Local development / Distribution / Quality).
Farms on a human scale, a production respectful of the environment and of those who make it, working hours chosen and not suffered... So many ways to re-invent an agricultural model that too often crushes those who feed us.
